How it works

References
Start from what you already love.
The images are the brief. keyline composes them into a board the moment they land.
Up to 20 references in Sources. Drop or paste images; the engine composes the board. No dragging pixels.
Mark the lead, give each a role. ★ sets the dominant image. A role tells the reading what to take from an image: everything, only its palette, its type or its texture, or nothing at all.
Seeded layouts, cycled with the arrow keys. Every recompose is deterministic: same seed, same board, forever.

Measurement
keyline reads what you can't describe.
Real numbers from the pixels, then eight readings from the images. Nothing invented.
Eight colours, weighted. Measured from your pixels: hex and percentage, not vibes.

Line by line. Every line of the prompt names what wrote it. Layer lines add how strong they are and the references they came from.
What is off stays visible. A layer you switched off sits on the sheet as a struck row, so you see what the prompt is not saying.
Change it and watch. Click a layer line and its control opens beside it. Move it, and the line lights up.

What exactly does $29 buy?
Everything, forever: the compiled prompt with per-model copies, the Markdown brief, Inspect (the prompt taken apart line by line and compared across three models), and watermark-free print-resolution exports, on this board and every board you ever make. One payment. It is not a subscription and not a per-export fee.
Do you store my images?
No. Boards live in your browser's own storage. Your references leave your machine only in one case: the images are sent once to the AI for the reading when you press Generate.
Couldn't I just upload my images to ChatGPT?
A vision model will describe your pictures. keyline measures what they have in common: real hexes and weights from the pixels, eight traceable layers, and a compiled prompt with a [SUBJECT] slot that stays reusable. The three-model proof above is the difference in practice.
What if I clear my browser or switch machines?
Your unlock is restored by the email you purchased with, from Settings › License in the app: a code sent to your inbox proves it and turns everything back on. Boards themselves are local; export the brief for anything you can't lose.
Are the boards and outputs on this page real?
Yes. The boards are composed by the same engine and measured by the same code as yours. The references are open-licence photographs (Met Open Access, Wikimedia Commons and Openverse contributors; CC0, CC BY or public domain, credited per image under each board) and, for the interior board, six references generated for keyline’s own film. The direction and the three model outputs are unedited, generated 2026-08 from one identical prompt.
